Nevertheless, the preferences of your pals should heavily influence the console you select. If I’m being honest, it’s because there are no cross-play options available across any of the many gaming platforms.
PLAYSTATION FRIENDS LIST SERIES
In that case, it is difficult for you to acquire a console from the Xbox series X or S. Suppose your pals have already upgraded to the PlayStation 5 system. Regardless matter how much you like the gaming system you already possess and how much your friends like the machine they just bought, you will eventually buy the same thing they do. It has nothing to do with exclusive games or performance testing and everything to do with the people you hang out with. In any case, I wanted to make this post in case it helps anyone else.In this conflict, friends’ function is of the utmost significance.
PLAYSTATION FRIENDS LIST PS4
I don't know if this is a reliable fix and outside of Apex Legends I doubt it will stop any PS4 related crashes, but it definitely improves the OS performance broadly. The other guy I know that deleted his friends to resolve his performance issue went from 300 to 50, so it doesn't seem like this necessarily has to be too large to cause issues. I'm aware that having 800 folks in your friends list is a very high number, but these were people I had added from ERA, GAF, Reddit and people I'd stumbled into during gameplay over an 8+ year period with this account. In Paladins, if I loaded up any of the social interfaces my game would crash. I've seen this problem in a game before, Paladins. Previously the system would sometimes hang up, especially if I ever tried to do any of these things while an application was running. When I go to do anything, load my friends list, open my party menu, open the quick menu, open my library, anything at all, it just seems a lot faster and more reliable. Not only that though, but the OS itself seems to perform far smoother than it did before. The process of deleting all of these people was painstaking, taking about 20 seconds per person, I was sat with my PS4 for over 2 hours deleting players from my list. I had 800 friends, now I have 150 (sorry if I deleted anyone here). So, given that I'd exhausted all other options (on the virge of buying a new PS4 thinking it was the hardware) I decided to spend an entire day deleting folk from my PSN friends list. He told me that he had the same issue, then he cut his PSN friends list way down (from 300 to 50) and it stopped happening. The other day I stumbled into some lobby with a random, and I got talking to him about how I crashed regularly. Around once every hour, my game would crash no matter what I did. Deleted and reinstalled Apex Legends so that I could play on the version of the game with no HD textures.Removed all of my banners/equipment/skins on Apex Legends.Reinitialised my PS4 (wiping the hard drive and everything else).Played on fresh accounts (without deleting my main account).Installed the game in a different region. In my pursuit to try and resolve this issue I have: I'm just writing this as a PSA because I've been pulling my hair out with performance issues with my PS4 Pro, and this might be a remedy for some folks with similar issues, and a large friends list.įor the last month or so I have been crashing out of games regularly in Apex Legends (much more so than any of my friends).
